Review Shoes Düsseldorf 08/2023
Well done!
SHOES Düsseldorf setting the pace in the sector
Düsseldorf has proven its relevance at Germany’s central fashion location once again. SHOES DÜSSELDORF, held at Areal Böhler from 27 – 29 August, is and will be the most relevant order trade show for the footwear and fashion industries. With a curated line-up of approx. 600 German and international brands from the Premium, Contemporary, Comfort and kids’ segments, SHOES DÜSSELDORF once again offered a wide and varied spectrum of collections. The trade show is well regarded internationally: for the current edition alone, SHOES DÜSSELDORF was able to welcome 110 newcomers including high-quality labels from Italy, Spain, France, and Portugal.
Beyond ordering, SHOES DÜSSELDORF is “the place to be” for information and inspiration. “Germany needs a trade show of relevance. A place where the sector can exchange ideas and forge common goals. This is precisely what we offer at SHOES DÜSSELDORF,” says Igedo Managing Director Ulrike Kähler. Selected, practice-oriented media events, including expert trend information and well-founded sustainability expertise, all contribute to this and were also appreciated by exhibitors and visitors alike. “The sector is looking for solutions. Thanks to the Neonyt Düsseldorf trade show we also organise, we convey to the industry valuable knowledge related to the theme of sustainability; and, what’s more, without a moralising undertone,” adds Ulrike Kähler. The “Sustainable Store-Sharing-Concept inspired by STORE 13 Herford” oriented towards sustainable, fair labels debuting at SHOES DÜSSELDORF met with great interest among retailers, reports founder and licensor Tanja Kliewe-Meyer. Likewise, the Kids Area designed with loving attention to detail went down well with visitors and exhibitors. A Candy Bar and Infused Water invited attendees to while away their time amidst trendy collections. “In turbulent times we offer the sector safety and reliability,” says Ulrike Kähler summing up and concludes: “We are a rock of stability. Today and in future.”
