It’s never too soon for beautiful things to freshen up and liven up your assortment. Isn’t it?
This also includes the children’s shoe segment. Especially here, it’s worth keeping an eye out for highlights. Best opportunities for this were recently at SHOES DÜSSELDORF, where numerous exciting and interesting kids brands showcased themselves.
In addition to many well-known brands, there are new, exciting collections to discover. Especially in these times, it is worthwhile to look beyond the famous horizon. Because one thing is certain: the biggest enemy of fashion is monotony. Apart from that, the thrill of discovering something new – isn’t that exactly what makes a good trade fair?
Let’s be honest, who wants to wear shoes that are uncomfortable today? Probably nobody! And that’s why I always find it difficult to use the term “comfortable shoes” or “comfort shoes” when I write about this segment. Even a fashionable shoe has to be comfortable. And a comfortable shoe has to be as fashionable as possible.
In addition to the line-up of high-fashion and high-quality shoes for women, men and children, buyers also appreciate the possibility at SHOES DÜSSELDORF to find and order complementing products, such as accessories and fashion it pieces for their stores. “The outfit idea is centre stage here. We view it as our task to give footwear retailers ideas of how to further upgrade and emotionalise their stores by means of fashion and accessories”, says Igedo Director Ulrike Kähler, summing up the brief for a successful trade show. The motto, “Move on”, is taken literally. “We are not standing still either. We constantly evolve – with the aim of offering retail a curated line-up of ranges and a perfect place for orders, communication and networking”, says Ulrike Kähler. In all of this individuality is key: the many small, openly designed stands invite visitors to discover new labels. Innovation and inspiration also featured in the “Kids Corner”, which was designed like a concept store in cooperation with the organiser Squares.
Managing Director of Igedo Exhibitions
"We were very satisfied, had a consistently well-frequented booth and definitely a busy time. We consider SHOES DÜSSELDORF to be an important institution. That's why we make the brand tangible here and do a lot to ensure that the presentation is attractive and offers visitors an event atmosphere. After all, as an industry we can't give the retailers cheap advice to do more on the floor and at the same time present our shoes in white IKEA shelves. We would like to also see one or two competitors make more of their appearance at SHOES DÜSSELDORF. SHOES DÜSSELDORF offers itself as a platform for this, after all, we all want a strong national trade fair that attracts visitors from all over Germany and from neighbouring European countries."
Lewin Berner, Managing Partner / CEO, Sioux Holding GmbH
"The fair is very inspiring. I come mainly for children's shoes, but I'm also always on the lookout for new ideas and inspiration for mothers."
Heike Sommnitz, Managing Director Pantini & die bunte Bande, Cologne
"We like being here and we'll always be glad to come back. We appreciate SHOES DÜSSELDORF for the exchange with retailers and colleagues. In addition, we have also gained new customers, including from textile retail."
Michael Schreiber, Managing Director Cinque Shoes & Herrlicher
"We really appreciate the show, because here we find everything in one place. We have neither the time nor the mood to travel from showroom to showroom."
Carsten Obermeier, Managing Director Neumann Schuhe, Hanover
"This is our first time at SHOES DÜSSELDORF with Cole Haan. Our location and also the response was very good - news is in demand. What is noticeable, however, is that most of the business cards are of international origin."
Christian Ast, Commercial Director Central Europe Cole Haan
"It is always worth coming to Düsseldorf. SHOES DÜSSELDORF is of great importance to us and a place of inspiration."
Klaudia Werdin, owner of Schuh & Mode Leukers, Straelen
"We are satisfied. Our activities for Rexor's 70th anniversary have been well received. One thing is for sure: the trade must manage a lot of tasks now. But those who come here are the proactive ones."
Günter Neunaber, Managing Director Rexor Shoe Purchasing Association
"The first day was great, the second day was also fine. It is important to have a presence at SHOES DÜSSELDORF beyond our Düsseldorf showroom, because this is where people make chance acquaintances. This is where we gain new clients."
Ralf Butz, owner of Agents of shoes & accessories
