More space

From the coming season, the exhibition space will be extended by around 1,900 m² with the addition of a new bay of the ›Kaltstahlhalle‹, the home of the PREMIUM zone at Gallery SHOES. “This will create new space for even more brands from European countries,” summarises Ulrike Kähler.

The extension by Areal Böhler together with Igedo Company speaks for itself: investments are being made in the future!

The extensive restoration of the new hall will be complete by September 2018, meaning that the newly created area will fit in seamlessly. “We are sticking to our core principle that an extension doesn’t mean an increase in the size of individual booths, but rather ensures that the brand portfolio itself is even more exciting, extensive and impressive. In addition to this, slow growth is important to us. It also ensures that parking facilities and infrastructure can grow and develop organically,” continues Ulrike Kähler.

New main entrance situation

The main entrance to the ›Alte Schmiedehallen‹ is being further developed and upgraded. For the upcoming edition, the entire space in front of the main entrance will be covered with a huge tent to offer even more space and possibilities. This means that visitors will be able to get out of their taxis right in front of the reception at the main entrance, further improving the service offer. In keeping with the laid-back feel of the grounds and the large entrance tent, the outdoor area will also be extended with food stalls, sand, a wooden walkway and other summery elements. “At this central point we will be offering even more space to mingle and network with laid-back summer vibes against a stylish industrial backdrop,” confirms a delighted Ulrike Kähler. “We also want to integrate the adjoining Kesselhaus even more. This newly created outdoor zone makes for an organic connection with the Kesselhaus, connecting it even more to the event and its overall vibe.

Summary

We are raring to go and already in important talks with the industry to work on further developing Gallery SHOES to ensure we can offer the best service to professional European buyers,” concludes Ulrike Kähler. “Our platform is proving more popular than ever and people’s commitment to it is also growing.”

At the next event there will also be a comprehensive accompanying line-up of events with lots of interesting features planned. “Gallery SHOES is being very well received. Not only specialist publishing houses, such as TW with its Orderinfo event for shoes, but also associations are keen to attend and be a part of it.” Further information and a list of exhibitors will follow in a later announcement in due time.
